Women in Energy: program promotes female leadership in the energy sector

At EDF power solutions, diversity and inclusion are part of the company’s culture. That’s why the company runs the Women in Energy Program, which kicked off 2026 by reaffirming its commitment to the development and leadership of its female employees in the energy sector. Throughout the first half of the year, the initiative held gatherings focused on celebrating women’s career paths and how to navigate the energy sector.

The event “Women who inspire, overcome limits, and build futures,” led by consultant Marielly Andrade, aimed to celebrate female strength and create space for reflection on the challenges women face in their professional and personal journeys. Employees from all EDF power solutions units were able to take part in a discussion circle that brought together professionals from different areas of the company to share personal experiences about the challenges faced in building their careers. The program also included a talk on “Strategic Positioning,” focused on encouraging participants to understand and strategically communicate the value they bring to the business.

In addition to the discussion circles, the program included a new stage in June: a mentoring track designed to expand the skills of invited employees, with a focus on personal growth and career acceleration. The kick-off featured the project’s sponsor and EDF power solutions Deputy CEO, Veronica Vara, who highlighted the initiative’s importance as an opportunity for individual growth for each participant.
