EDF power solutions begins energization of its first transmission asset in the Northern Fluminense region
Rio de Janeiro, October 13th, 2026 – EDF power solutions has carried out the sectionalizing of the first circuit of the Campos–GNA transmission line to begin integrating its Açu Transmissora asset into the National Interconnected System. With this stage completed, the project has been partially energized. Located in the municipalities of São João da Barra and Campos dos Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the asset is now entering the final stage of preparation before the start of full commercial operation. The project was made possible through ANEEL Transmission Auction No. 002/2022, in which the company was awarded the concession to implement the Porto do Açu Substation (345/138 kV) and to sectionalize the 345 kV double-circuit high-voltage transmission line.
