EDF power solutions inaugurates new headquarters in Rio and consolidates integration of its operations in Brazil

The new office symbolizes the union of teams and reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability and employee well-being.

EDF power solutions, a global leader in the energy sector, has inaugurated its new headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The office marks a new strategic moment for the company in the country, consolidating the integration of teams that previously operated as EDF Brasil and EDF Renewables under a single brand.

The project, completed in about four months, was designed to reflect the company’s values, focusing on collaboration, modernity, and sustainability. Located in a strategic point in the city center, the space offers stunning views of iconic landmarks such as Sugarloaf Mountain and Ilha Fiscal, while also benefiting from abundant natural light.

“This move represents much more than just a change of address. It embodies our concept ‘One Team, One Energy, One Place, One Future.’ EDF power solutions emerges in an environment that inspires innovation and strengthens our collaborative culture, ready to advance our mission of leading the energy transition and security in the country and providing flexible, decarbonized, and high-value energy solutions,” says Veronica Vara, vice president of EDF power solutions in Brazil.

Modern structure and focus on Brazilian identity

Spread over two floors with an open space concept, the new headquarters was designed with an industrial and modern aesthetic to stimulate interaction among teams. The structure includes 26 meeting rooms, two configurable rooms, collaborative spaces, a mini-market, and a lounge area equipped for presentations and lectures.

Additionally, aiming to explore the theme of “Brazilian identity” in different environments, each meeting room is named after a Brazilian state and features a reference to local fauna or flora. The “Rio de Janeiro” room, for example, honors the Golden Lion Tamarin, an endemic species of the region and an animal that represents the Golden Lion Tamarin Association, an organization supported by EDF power solutions.

Considering the comfort of employees, the office also includes a shiatsu room, equipped pantries, and a breastfeeding support room.

Culture of well-being and celebration

The inauguration of the new headquarters is the highlight of a series of initiatives aimed at employees.

The focus on human capital is reinforced by the well-being program “Energize,” which since the beginning of 2025 has promoted actions for physical, mental, and financial health. Recently, the program held pilates and yoga classes, as well as a hike at Morro Dois Irmãos. Lectures on financial education, stress management, and healthy habits are also part of the agenda, which includes activities such as street races, beach volleyball, and surfing lessons.

The celebration of this new phase was marked by the “Power Party,” an integration event that will take place in all locations where the company operates, giving employees in Rio de Janeiro the opportunity to visit the new headquarters for the first time. The inauguration is accompanied by an internal campaign with the slogan “We are the energy that generates tomorrow,” which also provided employees with welcome kits.
