Serra das Almas Wind Farm supports training in communities in Bahia and Minas Gerais

The Transformation Project promotes professional training and socioeconomic development

The Serra das Almas Wind Farm has completed the Transformation Project, a professional training initiative that benefited more than 160 young people and adults in rural communities and municipalities of Bahia and Minas Gerais.

The project aimed to promote employability and the development of new skills. The initiative covered approximately 15 communities neighboring the wind farm, located in the municipalities of Licínio de Almeida (BA), Jacaraci (BA), Urandi (BA), and Espinosa (MG).

In total, 11 vocational courses were offered, totaling 164 graduates. The training included areas such as Manicure and Pedicure, Basic Administration, Excavator Operation, and various baking courses, such as Basic Baking, Special Breads, and Production of Sequilhos. As a result, the initiative contributed to the expansion of professional opportunities, personal and professional growth, as well as strengthening local communities.

I had the opportunity to take the backhoe operator course, which exceeded my expectations and made me surpass my own limits. I was able to understand everything that is behind the profession, which is very beautiful; you fall in love with it more and more. It is a unique experience, providing learning for the rest of your life,” says Talita Zaurício, a resident of the Saco da Onça community.
