EDF power solutions supports the 14th Edition of the Kolírius International Festival
Rio de Janeiro, July 17th, 2025 – For another year, EDF power solutions will support the 14th edition of the Kolírius International Graffiti Festival, an event that has established itself as one of the largest urban art gatherings in Latin America. The festival, which transforms the walls of Macaé into an open-air art gallery, will take place from July 25 to 27, 2025, at Rua Tenente Rui Lopes Ribeiro, 257 – Centro, Macaé – RJ.
The event promises to be one of the most significant for Macaé, bringing together a diverse team of local, national, and international artists. The festival stands out as a meeting of generations, with talents ranging from 12 to 74 years old, demonstrating that urban art transcends barriers and connects people.
This year, the festival, which will feature 25 murals, celebrates the bicentennial of the municipality of Macaé and, in a special way, the centenary of Antônio Alvarez Parada, a teacher, researcher, journalist, and author of the city’s anthem. In his honor, the 14th edition will include the painting of 14 new murals at Colégio Luiz Reid, from July 27 to 29. The Kolírius project, which is part of Macaé’s official tourism calendar, concludes annually on the city’s anniversary, serving as a symbolic and lasting gift for the residents.
EDF power solutions, which has been walking alongside the festival for 14 years, reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and support for art as a tool for transformation. “With each new edition, Kolírius sows beauty, belonging, and pride in the soul of Macaé,” says Marlon Muk. The event strengthens local culture and a sense of belonging, decentralizing and democratizing access to art and culture for all segments of the population.
Conceived and organized by Marlon Gitiranna, known as Marlon Muk, a graffiti artist born and raised in Macaé, the Kolírius International Festival began in 2011. Since then, over 400 artists have participated in the festival, leaving their marks and colors throughout the city.
